Classic Galley Kitchen Case Study | Leeds | More Kitchens

Published: 15 June 2022

A tired and dated kitchen was transformed into a stunning classic kitchen design with modern fixtures, fittings, and appliances.

Mr & Mrs. Vinegrade’s dated kitchen was in need of a complete revamp. Their existing kitchen layout was small and narrow, with the dining room located in a separate room altogether.

Wanting to explore the option of combining the kitchen and dining room into one, to make a larger and more functional space, a substantial amount of building work needed to be done for the new kitchen plan to come to fruition.

With a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve Mr. & Mrs. Vinegrade contacted More Kitchens and booked a free design appointment for a Senior Designer to visit their home and provide them with expert help and advice while discussing different kitchen design concepts.

Visited by Senior Designer Simon, Mr. & Mrs. Vinegrade discussed their requirements, design preferences, and layout options with a view to understanding the most economical way of making the best use of the available space.

Guided by Simon, several concepts were discussed, prior to a decision being made, which resulted in the removal of a dividing wall, to combine the kitchen and dining room into one creating a larger, more functional, and sociable space.

With an agreement on how they wanted to proceed, Simon invited Mr. & Mrs. Vinegrade to our Leeds Kitchen Showroom to present them with CAD designs and pick their kitchen finishing touches.

Offering the perfect combination of traditional and contemporary kitchen design the new timeless classic kitchen concept consisted of a mixture kitchen storage solutions in a contemporary cashmere finish.

The kitchen design also featured a corner sink unit and a stunning Carrera marble kitchen worktop which complemented the light brown laminate kitchen flooring. Brand new appliances were also installed which consisted of an induction hob and a separate built-in oven and microwave, both of which were installed at eye level, making cooking and cleaning easier.

A dated kitchen and separate dining room were combined into a single beautiful classic kitchen design with modern fixtures and a dedicated area for dining. A more sociable and welcoming space the design was enhanced by a mixture of light colours which opened up the available space, bringing a fresh look and feel.
