Bespoke Kitchen Island Case Study | Huddersfield | West Yorkshire

Published: 1 November 2021

In need of a design update, Mr Murphy hoped for his dated kitchen to be transformed into a modern and spacious bespoke kitchen and dining area that would still fit in with the overall design of his cottage.

With an update in mind and wanting to undergo a simple full kitchen design and fitted kitchen service, Mr Murphy booked a free design appointment for a More kitchens Senior Designer to survey his kitchen , discuss design ideas and concepts and provide a provisional quote.

Visited by Senior Designer Simon, Mr Murphy discussed with him his kitchen design requirements in detail.

Taking all requirements on board, Simon used his extensive design knowledge to create a timeless bright and spacious shaker style kitchen design with clean modern lines.

To make better use of the kitchen’s available space, the cabinets along the side of the wall were removed opening up central floor space.

Modern kitchen storage also included the installation of a space saving built in wall cupboard, tall central larder cabinets with a built in oven and fridge, as well as a run of timeless wooden cabinets that incorporated a traditional ceramic sink, integrated dishwasher and washing machine in a soothing cream and modern matt finish.

A bespoke sleek island also incorporated contemporary dark blue storage draws, an induction hob and built in dining area, saving both floor and worktop space within the kitchen. Which created a multi-use area for Mr Murphy to cook, host and or dine.

Oak effect laminate worktops and matching oak effect kitchen flooring tied in the traditional and modern design elements whilst adding warmth and texture to the kitchen.

Mr Murphy’s dated kitchen was transformed into a bright and spacious classic kitchen with a modern twist, creating a timeless design to be enjoyed by all.

Top class service from start to finish, I didn't really know where to start but Simon the designer came up with a great design to maximise the space. The whole process was easy and efficient, mick the main fitter was superb, nothing was too much trouble. Delighted with the final result, highly recommended.
